Corrections.

We have never issued a correction. We have issued several updates to the vibes.

Most newsrooms publish corrections when they get something wrong. We publish a page explaining why we would never.

Our corrections policy

AWARE-ish is satire, which means we invent things on purpose. The districts are fake. The people are fake. The alerts are fake. The confidence is real.

But we do not invent claims about real people or real districts. If you believe something here identifies a real person or school district and reads as a factual accusation, email corrections@aware-ish.example with the page and the sentence. We will redact, rewrite, or remove it.

Corrections we considered and rejected

  • File 014: A reader noted that ducks are not, in fact, an agenda. We stand by the pond concern.
  • File 027: We were asked to clarify that “all families are welcome” is not a threat. We have referred the question to our feelings.
  • File 041: The smiling teacher has been dead since 2011. We have updated the file to “unavailable for comment.”
  • District leaderboard: A reader pointed out that Cedar Hollow Unified does not exist. That is the point, and also the only accurate thing on the page.

How to reach us

Email corrections@aware-ish.example. This address does not exist. If you need a real correction about a real claim, use the contact form of whatever real publication you trust and tell them a parody site sent you.

If this were real: a product that scores school districts 1–10 and alerts parents within 72 hours would need a corrections desk, an appeals process, and a way to undo the damage. It has none of those. That is the satire.
