Recent findings
Each file represents a real feeling we had about a document we did not read.
The Library Duck
A picture book about a duck was ordered for the elementary library. Our system flagged the cover for “avian symbolism” and “possible pond agenda.”
The Inclusive Flyer
A fall festival flyer stated that “all families are welcome.” The phrase scored a 9 out of 10. Two board members received the alert before the flyer was printed.
The Consultant Named Equity
A vendor named redacted was flagged because the contract included the word “equity.” The vendor’s last name was also Equity. The contract was for a fire alarm inspection.
The Smiling Teacher
A photograph on the district website showed a teacher smiling. Our model rated the smile “sustained and possibly ideological.” The photo was taken in 1998.
Files are fictional. The pattern is not. If a surveillance product can generate a case file about a duck, it can generate one about you.
